Entrance is around the back through office doors.

Grades 7-12 meet in "The Place", the red brick building behind the church

Young Adults (Ages 18-35) meet in the back room of The Place, the same floor as the youth.

Adult Classes are held in the Discipleship Building.

As you are facing the church the entrance is the double glass doors on left side.

We are here for you to come and worship God.  We want you to be comfortable. So to that end our dress code is:

Jeans-Approved   Sandals--Approved  Shorts--Approved  Sneakers--Approved  T-Shirt--Approved.

If you are more comfortable in Business Causal that is also OK.  If you want to wear a suit and tie, that is up to you.

We are more concerned that you are in church than conforming to a dress code.

Returning a portion of the blessings God has given you, to His church, is part of living a Christian life.  There is a time during the service to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings.  However, as a visitor we do not want you to feel pressured to give.  This is an act of worship for our regular attenders who choose to support the mission and ministries of the church through their donations and tithes.

Matthew 6: 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

What Can I Expect?

We are a church that believes in welcoming all people to worship with us.  Expect to be greeted at the sidewalk by a member of our greeting team.  They are there to welcome and help  you find your way around.  They will be happy to help you find the nursery, if you have children, and to walk you to the door.  There you will be greeted by an Usher who will make sure you have a bulletin and also welcome you to the church.  From there you can take the steps on the left side of the room up to the balcony to be seated or go through the double wood doors to enter the main floor of the Sanctuary.

Do you have reserved seating?

Many visitors worry about where to sit.  They are concerned they are sitting in someones seat.  We do not have reserved or assigned seating at Rogersville.  We want you to sit where you are comfortable.

Worship Style:

We are a blended service.  Our service opens with two contemporary praise and worship songs. The words will be on the wall so you can sing alone with the group leading praise and worship.

We believe in celebrating the goodness of God so after praise and worship we have a few moments of Glory Sightings.  This is a time when members of the congregation can share where they have seen and felt the presence of God in their lives during the past week.

Each week the choir presents the word of God in song prior to the pastor bringing us the spoken word.  The Choral Anthem is a mix of modern music and traditional music.  Our Music Minister does a wonderful job of alternating these selections as to cover a variety of music and worship styles.

Each week you will hear a message that is relevant to the times, straight forward and not full of church language.  The pastor wants to help you make the word of God applicable to your daily life and help you grow in your relationship with Jesus.

The 2nd hymn and the closing hymn usually will come from the United Methodist Hymnal.  These will be songs that reflect the heritage and tradition of the church.
